Last updated: June 2026
Welcome to Editor Text (editortext.com). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our web application. By accessing or using Editor Text, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Editor Text web application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, as well as our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the service.
2. Description of Service
Editor Text provides a free, browser-based utility for editing text files and manipulating digital photos. Our tools are provided entirely "as is" and operate locally on your device. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.
3. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
When using Editor Text, you agree not to use the service for any unlawful or prohibited activities. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Editor Text infrastructure or code.
- Use automated systems, bots, or scrapers in a way that disrupts the normal operation of the web server (excluding legitimate search engine and AI indexing bots operating within our robots.txt guidelines).
- Use the service to process, store, or create malicious software, viruses, or illegal content.
4. Data Liability & Loss Mitigation
Because Editor Text processes your files locally on your own hardware, we are not liable for any lost, damaged, corrupted, or overwritten files.
- Save Frequently: You are solely responsible for downloading and backing up your documents and images. While we employ LocalStorage autosaving as a convenience feature, it is not a guaranteed backup system and can be wiped by clearing your browser cache.
- No Guarantees: We provide no guarantees regarding the persistence of your data within the application across browsing sessions.
5. Third-Party Integrations
Editor Text may offer integrations with third-party services, such as Google Drive for cloud saving. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective Terms of Service. Editor Text is not responsible for any failures, data loss, or account issues resulting from the use of these external APIs.
6. Intellectual Property
The layout, design, codebase, logos, and graphics of Editor Text are the intellectual property of the website owners. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit the source code or design without explicit permission. However, you retain 100% full ownership and copyright of any text, code, or images you create, edit, or process using our application.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. 9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will post any significant changes on this page. Your continued use of the service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Use.
